PROJECT MANAGER Fleet Project Management Office Victoria or Richmond   The Opportunity We are searching for a Project Manager to join our Fleet Project Management Office (FPMO) team. As a key member of the FPMO team, you are responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing of vessel projects. Typical project assignments may include: refit, dry-docking, capital modifications, conversions, emergent repairs or improvements to BCFS vessels. Ideally you have a Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a P.Eng., Mechanical Engineering from a recognized educational institution.  Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.  You have considerable hands-on management experience in multi-faceted projects, preferably within a shipbuilding, ship repair or marine operations environment.    You work well independently and as a collaborative team member, utilizing effective problem-solving and time management skills. Proven experience in planning, executing, controlling, and closing of multiple concurrent projects is required.  Your strengths include great communication, organization, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. You are result-oriented and self-motivated.   Proficiency in MS Office Programs, Maximo, and Cognos/Oracle or similar software systems is an asset.  Formal training in project management or financial management would also be an advantage.
