Admin Assistant Little River   Responsibilities: Provides administrative support to the Marine Superintendent by: - Determine the nature and scope of key issues and concerns, prioritizing and managing using sound judgment and decision making; - Exercising good judgment in determining emergent issues and alerting the Marine Superintendent accordingly; - Providing advice and administrative assistance to the Masters; - Arranging meetings, preparing agendas and information packages, recording and distributing minutes and bringing forward pertinent issues. Conducting follow-up to verify the prompt implementation of agreed-upon courses of action; - Travel to meetings when required; - Maintaining/coordinating calendars, scheduling meetings, travel and accommodation; - Maintain confidential files, documents and records; - Coding and verifying invoices, resolving discrepancies, and recommending payment; - Provide budgetary assistance by issuing, processing and tracking purchase orders; verifying and processing invoices; monthly variance reporting. Assisting the Marine Superintendent with the yearly budget build; - Assisting the Marine Superintendent with approving expenses; - Monitoring, approving and submitting EZLabour for all Exempt Masters in the region; - Processing sea time requests and documentation for crew with respect to certificates and/or renewal of certificates;   Skills and Qualifications:   Qualifications - Completion of secondary school graduation, preference given to those holding relevant additional training in standard business practices and office administration; - 3 – 5 years’ experience in office/admin support roles   Skills - Proficiency in BC Ferries and relevant computerized office application; - Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism; - Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints to prioritize competing tasks appropriately; - Strong organizational skills; - Willingness to take initiative; - Team player, with key working relationships both internal (maintains cooperative and positive relationships with related field personnel) and external (maintain a working relationship with Transport Canada Offices, North Coast travel provider)     Join us! STRATEGIC SOURCING SPECIALIST (Category Manager) Richmond   Reporting to the Senior Manager, Procurement and Supply Chain Services, as the Strategic Sourcing Specialist you provide supervision, leadership and guidance to a team of Purchasing Agents. You lead cross-functional teams through the various stages of the procurement processes and collaborate with internal stakeholders on all aspects of the procurement cycle.   Responsibilities - Lead cross-functional teams through the various stages of the procurement processes, collaborate with internal stakeholders on all aspects of the procurement cycle. - Assist & collaborate with internal stakeholders with various needs for the Supply Chain department, including special projects, process improvement initiatives, and any other related duties as assigned. - Conduct market research and gather information on potential suppliers and solutions that meet the sourcing requirements. - Develop and execute high complex sourcing strategies, including conducting RFx, and other procurement processes, to identify and evaluate potential suppliers. - Negotiate contracts of $5 plus million of dollars with suppliers to ensure the best possible price, terms, and conditions BCF. - Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply of goods and services and to address any issues that may arise. - Monitor supplier performance to ensure that they are meeting the company's quality, delivery, and cost requirements. - Manage and negotiate high-value contracts (i.e.:$5 plus millions of dollars in, cumulative value) through the life cycle, from creation, execution, through to termination. - Identify, assess risks throughout the end-to-end procurement cycle, and provide risk management and/or mitigation strategies via engagement with stakeholders. - Manage procurement activities in compliance with applicable BCF policies. Qualifications and Skills You have experience in managing Supplier performance and sustainable procurement framework in alignment with corporate sustainable goals. Construction and/or IT procurement experience preferred.   You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with 7 – 10 years experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, or procurement in a large organization.
