We are seeking an accomplished financial executive to join our leadership team as Corporate Controller and help shape the future of this critical service.

 

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller is a key senior leader responsible for strengthening financial stewardship across the organization while ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial services that support sound decision-making, operational excellence, and multi-stakeholder accountability.

 

As Corporate Controller, you will bring an enterprise-wide perspective to financial leadership. Partnering closely with executive leadership and operational teams, you will provide strategic insight, identify opportunities, mitigate risk, and help drive organizational performance. Your ability to understand operational realities and translate them into clear financial guidance will be critical to your success.

 

You will also lead the organization's financial reporting, accounting policy, and internal control environment, ensuring the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and governance.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:

  • Leading financial service delivery, including planning and analysis, accounting, reporting, tax, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions, while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives;
  • Overseeing the execution of external financial reporting and disclosures, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies;
  • Preparing and directing the delivery of accurate, timely management reports for executive leadership, the Board, and regulatory bodies;
  • Advising senior leadership on financial performance, risks, and opportunities, while supporting long-term planning, budgeting, and decision-making;
  • Providing leadership to the management team, enabling effective talent management, succession planning, and fostering a high-performance culture;
  • Establishing and maintaining enterprise-wide financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk mitigation practices to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data;
  • Overseeing relationships with external auditors, regulators, and key stakeholders, ensuring effective coordination, audit readiness, and compliance;
  • Leading the evaluation, development, and implementation of accounting policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance and continuous improvement;
  • Defining and driving improvement initiatives to enhance systems, processes, and operational efficiency across the functions overseen, while contributing to broader organizational initiatives;
  • Managing financial resources, including departmental budgets and cost management, to support strategic and operational objectives;

 

What you bring to the team

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance, accounting, or financial reporting
  • Extensive expertise in financial oversight, governance, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven success leading large, multi-disciplinary teams, preferably within a capital-intensive or similarly complex organization
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Strong track record of leading process improvements, systems enhancements, and operational transformation initiatives

 

Education & Professional Designation

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation

Additional information:

The target salary range: $203,500 - $254,400 per annum.  The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity.
