PURCHASING AGENT 2

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and qualified Purchasing Agent with experience purchasing a variety of commercially available goods and services to meet the requirements of BC Ferries.
The position will provide purchasing services, performing the following functions: reviewing, checking, analyzing and pricing requisitions for a wide variety of goods and services; developing, preparing, issuing and awarding contracts including negotiating contract terms; opening formal bids, preparing bid summary reports and performing additional duties as required.
You hold a valid Level 3 of PMAC Accreditation, or equivalent, with 3 years’ experience in the purchasing and materials management field with computerized MRP/ERP experience. You also possess negotiation, inventory management, accounting, logistics and organization skills.
