The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Manager, Corporate Finance to lead a talented team of financial analysts within our Treasury department. You will play a pivotal role in shaping BC Ferries’ long-term financial strategy, driving performance, and securing the resources necessary to support our organization’s growth, sustainability, and service commitments.
The Role
Reporting to the Treasurer, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:
- Leading the development and coordination of the company’s long-term financial plan, aligning it with the organization’s risk profile and strategic priorities to create actionable plans that drive financial performance and operational success;
- Actively contributing to the strategic planning process by delivering robust financial models that illustrate the short- and long-term impacts (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) of strategic decisions and investments;
- Promoting risk-based decision-making, Illustrating impact to long-term financial sustainability;
- Innovating in the area of business analytics, to identify ways to align data with business knowledge to drive financial performance and deliver value;
- Leading the development and coordination of the company’s long-term ESG metrics and performance targets to support sustainability and strategic goals;
- Developing and monitoring corporate efficiency metrics and targets that can be cascaded throughout the company to drive performance;
- Creating actionable management reporting to drive a deep understanding of financial and operational performance, including through the use of key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Leveraging financial expertise and robust business acumen to provide comprehensive decision support;
- Actively contributing to the development of strategic and tactical plans;
- Facilitating regulatory Performance Term Submissions and provide long-term financial forecasts, reflective of key risks and objectives;
- Communicating and collaborating with various levels of seniority within the organization.
What you bring to the team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or related field
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or an MBA is preferred
- 5-7 years of progressively senior experience in in corporate finance, treasury, strategic planning, or a related field within a large corporate environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with proven experience creating dynamic financial and operating models
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and influence decisions at all levels of an organization

Additional information
The target salary range: $125,400 - $156,800 per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity.
