CARPENTER

Tsawwassen

Casual

 

You are a safety-minded individual responsible constructing, renovating, installing and maintaining BC Ferries’ buildings and property. Your main priorities are to maintain the overall structure and safety of buildings, estimate costs on future projects, liaise with contractors and suppliers regarding prices and assist other trades as required.

 

While safely meeting the physical demands of the job, you complete assigned tasks to high standards and with minimal supervision. You anticipate and analyze problems and initiate appropriate solutions. You also possess the ability to clearly and accurately convey technical information through sketches and drawings.

 

You have a thorough understanding of WCB regulations and safe working practices and working knowledge of relevant materials, tools and equipment. You have a BC or Interprovincial Trades Qualification in Carpentry and a valid driver’s license.
