With a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and safety, we’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager, Asset Management Systems to join our forward-thinking IT team.

 

As a vital member of the IT Management team, you lead the maintenance and management of our enterprise asset management software, Maximo, ensuring tangible benefits through technology enablement. You spearhead the development and implementation of strategic asset management objectives across the organization, collaborating with multiple stakeholders and overseeing the administration and configuration of metrics reporting and statistics for work performance.

 

In this role, you oversee the integration of technical, operational, and business functions, ensuring seamless coordination across diverse teams. You also play a pivotal role in developing comprehensive business plans for key programs, providing strategic direction, high-level direction and clear communication to drive efficient execution and support the achievement of asset management goals.

 

The role

Reporting to the Director, IT Enterprise Applications, your key areas of responsibility are:  

Formulating and define systems scope and objectives based on user needs and business requirements, and provide guidance concerning applications impact

  • Overseeing overall data conversion and migration efforts ensuring seamless transition to Maximo;
  • Leading the development of interfaces to external systems and identify areas for customization and optimization, providing solutions that meet business requirements;
  • Managing system testing and development of reports for compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
  • Formulating and defining systems scope and objectives, based on user needs and business requirements;
  • Spearheading the development of metrics to monitor performance, identify quality and process improvement opportunities including the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) development and adherence to business processes;
  • Collaborating with business senior management to provide timely and correct information on the sustainment of the particular business function;
  • Providing mentorship and guidance in specific business applications, including management principles, best practices, and standards;

What you bring to the team

  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Computer Science or an IT related field
  • Extensive experience implementing and/or sustaining Maximo application
  • Extensive experience in asset management, maintenance, operations, project management, procurement, internal audit, risk management, and business best practices in an operations environment
  • Maximo and/or Asset management certifications preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams
  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, building trust through goal alignment and transparency

Additional information

The target salary range: $125,400 – 156,800 per annum.  The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity.
