CUSTOMER RELATIONS ADVISOR

The opportunity

You have a passion for conflict resolution, you excel when working under pressure, and your goal is customer satisfaction. Working as part of a dynamic, customer-focused team, you coordinate and develop responses to customer correspondence on behalf of the company. You respond to sensitive customer correspondence pertaining to allegations of employee performance and behaviour issues, as well as other sensitive customer issues. You also assist in training of customer relations advisor(s) and social media agents, the development and implementation of policies and guidelines for correspondence and customer relations and the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance and improvement of BC Ferries’ Customer Service Recovery Plan.

 

You are also responsible for providing analysis and reporting of customer issues and trends to the Manager of Customer Relations. In addition, you provide backfill as scheduled for the Operations Security Centre-Customer Relations Advisor position covering the operational day (5:45am -11:00pm) and/or outside of regular business hours as required to cover on a rotational basis seven days a week.

 

What you bring to the team

You bring a post secondary certificate, diploma or degree in public relations, journalism, communications, business administration or a combination of education and related experience.  You bring 3 to 5 years experience working in a call centre and customer relations type role.  You have experience preparing written and providing oral responses to external stakeholders on behalf of an organization, and demonstrate strong leadership through your reliable performance and positive interaction with others. 

 

The successful candidate must have a flexible schedule, be comfortable with working in office and able to provide Operations Security Centre-Customer Relations backfill as scheduled between 5:45am – 11:00pm (8hr shifts), including weekends.

Additional information

The target salary range: $57,400 - $71,700 per annum.  The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity.
