The Opportunity
In order to address the challenges brought on by constrained system capacity, aging major assets, and environmental sustainability, BC Ferries has recently launched a new Fleet Renewal organization that will see a large number of new major and minor vessels introduced to the fleet in the near term as well as significant builds and upgrades to shore-based infrastructure and facilities. These projects together form the largest capital investment in the company’s history.
The new position of Director, Fleet Renewal Finance will be a leadership position within the organizational structure, accountable for ensuring overall financial oversight of the entire Fleet Renewal scope of activities and will lead the Fleet Renewal Financial Team charged with executing those responsibilities. In this role, your core responsibilities include leading the development and execution of the financial strategy and plans required for the Fleet Renewal organization, overseeing all financial deliverables, and providing financial expertise to ensure the successful delivery, reporting and oversight for this challenging program of work.
As part of the Fleet Renewal leadership team, this position provides key advice to the Head of Fleet Renewal to enable effective organizational leadership. This position also acts as a key liaison between Fleet Renewal and the company's Finance Division to ensure alignment and consistency with corporate governance and controls.

Additional Information
The target salary range: $159,800 - $199,700 per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge and experience, and on internal equity.
