INTERMEDIATE TECHNICAL ANALYST, IT SERVICE DESK

You are self-motivated, your passion is problem solving, and your goal is achieving high customer satisfaction. In a role that is key to the efficient operation of a high-volume IT Service Desk, you are responsible for providing first tier support to the internal BC Ferries user community.
You work with first, second and third tier support staff, and third party vendors, to solve IT related problems, assisting in all areas of IT Service Management. You provide technical support by determining the issue, and finding solutions to resolve the incident through an appropriate analysis methodology (trend, root cause analysis etc.).
You are a customer focused team member, with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. You have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills and experience, recognizing, assessing and isolating technical problems in moderately complex systems environments, resulting in timely, appropriate diagnosis and resolution.
You have a post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or other IT-related discipline, or significant work experience working on a variety of assignments in a technical / analytical role including providing end user support in an Information Technology organization.
