 The Opportunity

We are searching for a payroll professional to join our Finance team. As a professional, detail-oriented Pay Analyst, you are responsible for auditing, analyzing and adjusting pay for an assigned client group at BC Ferries. You support data entry of adjustments into the payroll system, and prepare year end adjustments, manual cheques and records of employment. As well as provide payroll information and procedural assistance to various internal/external departments and to employees.

What you bring to the team

You have strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work both independently and as a team-member in a high-volume, diverse work environment. You are customer-focused and results-oriented with a working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, and payroll policies and procedures.

You have completed the Payroll Compliance and Payroll Fundamentals 1 courses under the Canadian Payroll Association, have 1 to 3 years direct experience in a large computerized payroll environment and have an advanced level of skill and knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
