The Opportunity

We are looking for a Training Manager, Catering to lead the SEA (Standardized Education and Assessment) Catering Programs. This includes overseeing the SEA program from designing to delivering and evaluating. As a Training Manager, Catering, you are also responsible for selecting and mentoring part-time trainers, as well as leading collaboration with other departments to determine training needs. 

 

The Role

Reporting to the Director, Operational Training and SEA, you will contribute significantly and find fulfillment in overseeing key areas such as:

  • Managing, designing, and maintaining all SEA Catering training programs and materials.
  • Overseeing evaluations and updates of all SEA materials to ensure program quality and the effectiveness of content and delivery.
  • Delivering SEA and Adult Education training to various groups within the company.
  • Actively participating as a member of the SEA core team, Academy team, training management team, and other relevant committees and groups.
  • Conducting SEA education seminars for all Trainers to ensure their proficiency in the SEA program and adult education principles.
  • Coaching all Trainers, including Performance Management, to build a strong, confident team through constructive assessment and feedback.
  • Managing all SEA Catering Training program expenditures and budgets.
  • Collaborating closely with Scheduling Services, PMO's, and Operational Leadership to provide quarterly training forecasting information.
  • Providing training cost analyses and other required financial data, making amendments and modifications as needed.

You are a self-motivated, self-sufficient and resourceful individual who leads and motivates teams in the development and delivery of best-in-class professional courses.  You strive for continuous improvement and actively solicit customer feedback to improve training services.  You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills which enable you to build others’ confidence through constructive assessment and feedback.

 

Formal education in the areas of adult education and management skills are preferred, but a combination of education and experience will also be considered. A minimum of three years of experience in any training or Catering role, as well as accounting background is an asset.

Additional information

The target salary range: $81,100 - $101,300 per annum.  The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience, and internal equity. Starting salary may exceed the target range on exceptional basis.
