TECHNICAL APPLICATION OWNER – ASSET MAINTENANCE

Victoria or Vancouver Lower Mainland

 

The Opportunity

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for asset maintenance processes and applications? Are you excited by the prospect of driving significant improvements in business processes through the effective use of technology such as EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)? We are looking for a proactive and experienced Technical Application Owner to oversee our asset maintenance applications. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management and optimization of our application portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, streamline processes, and implement innovative solutions that support our strategic objectives.

 

The Role

Reporting to the IT Manager, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:

  • Leading the technical ownership and roadmap for asset maintenance applications, ensuring stability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet operational needs.
  • Managing the full lifecycle of applications, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Driving integration efforts between asset maintenance processes and other enterprise processes and applications, such as purchasing, inventory, finance, and human resource, to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
  • Establishing and enforcing best practices in application development, configuration management, and deployment processes.
  • Monitoring system performance and security, proactively addressing issues and implementing enhancements to optimize application performance.
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to application support teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

 

What you bring to the team

Your qualifications are tailored to ensure seamless enhancement and optimization of asset maintenance such as IBM Maximo, fostering operational excellence and efficiency within our organization.

  • Extensive experience with IBM Maximo, including configuration, customization, integration and administration.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing IT initiatives including Maximo implementations and upgrades.
  • Strong technical knowledge in Maximo application framework, and integrations (REST/SOAP APIs), databases (SQL, Oracle), as well as adhering to relevant coding standards necessary for application development.
  • Proven experience as a technical application owner, solution architect, or similar role with a focus on asset maintenance applications. Capable of analyzing requirements and translating them into practical solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of asset maintenance processes, including asset tracking, work order management, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, inventory and spare part, maintenance planning and scheduling, regulatory compliance, reporting and analytics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and explain technical concepts clearly. Proficient in creating clear documentation for system configurations and user training.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira) is an asset.
  • Experience with cloud applications, Moneo IIoT platform and AI would be an asset.

Additional information

The target salary range: $128,700 - $160,900 per annum.  The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity. Starting salary may exceed the target range on exceptional basis.
