    SENIOR IT SECURITY ANALYST

    Victoria

     

    As an innovative problem solver and team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, you are responsible for enhancing, maintaining and monitoring security for the IT infrastructure at the enterprise level. As well as, investigating unusual or suspicious activity, you focus on the prevention and management of security breaches and implementing new infrastructure security initiatives.

     

    You have a minimum of three years technical experience in IT security coupled with an additional five years’ experience in an advanced support/operations role in a medium to large corporate environment. You have experience analyzing events from various sources and conducting security incident response activities (identification, containment, eradication and recovery) in a mixed Windows and Linux environment.  You have an advanced knowledge of network and IT security components, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, anti-virus, file integrity monitoring, malware analysis, data encryption technologies, and other industry-standard security technologies and tools. You display a broad knowledge of virtualization technologies, Windows operating systems and Active Directory, as well as key networking fundamentals such as firewalls, TCP/IP and packet analysis. You are knowledgeable and familiar with the Linux operation system. You also have an understanding of hacker techniques and appropriate defenses.

     

    The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Computer Systems, Computer Security or another IT related discipline combined with CISSP, GIAC/SANS or SSCP certification. Experience performing Security Threat Risk Assessments (STRAs) and utilizing vulnerability testing tools are assets.  Scripting in Powershell, Python or equivalent language is an asset.
