You are a customer-minded individual playing a critical role in vessel operation and safety through vessel maintenance and the loading and unloading of vehicle and passenger traffic.
This position requires Marine Emergency duties certificates: STCW Basic Safety (MED A1 and MED B2) and Survival Craft (MED B1); ability to react in a safe and effective manner during an emergency; ability to direct and control vehicles and passengers; working knowledge of safe work practices and seamanship; and ability to climb ladders, handle ships’ lines and move heavy objects.
Preference may be shown to applicants with a Bridge Watch rating or higher certificate. Applicants must hold a valid Seafarers’ Medical Certificate.

You are a highly energetic, task-focused individual responsible for receiving and distributing supplies to vessels, coffee shops, and various other departments. Your responsibilities include loading, unloading, packing, and warehousing of stores; ensuring accuracy of receipt; picking and compiling orders; cross referencing and adjusting orders as required; maintaining warehouse and electronic inventory of goods; and processing corrections/exceptions where required. In addition, you organize and sort recyclables; answer internal and external inquiries; and perform additional duties as needed.
With a high focus on workplace safety, you operate vehicles, hoists, and other related equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
You are a clear and concise communicator with an ability to identify and resolve discrepancies using a high level of judgement and initiative. You strive in a cohesive environment and are confident taking on a leadership role in the orientation, guidance, and training of staff. Completion of Grade 12 is required.
You will be guaranteed a monthly equivalent of 2 scheduled shifts per week until May 31, 2024 and during peak season between June 1, 2024 and September 2, 2024, 15 shifts per month subject to meeting minimum availability requirements.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ATTENDANT

As a Casual on-call Customer Service Attendant, you prepare and serve a variety of foods and beverages including assisting in the preparation and presentation of menu items; taking passenger orders; ensuring cleanliness and readiness of passenger and kitchen areas; performing housekeeping and major cleaning routines throughout the vessel; and other related duties as required.
You possess strong customer service skills, with the ability to work in a high volume customer focused environment in a physically demanding job, and are an excellent communicator with a high level of self-motivation and initiative. In addition, you are an innovative team player who works well under pressure with the ability to be flexible and adapt to a change in task when necessary.

You have one (1) year of customer service experience, preferably in a food service environment. Occupational First Aid Level 3 and Professional Cook Level 1 would be assets. A valid Seafarer’s Medical, Food Safe Level 1 and Serving it Right Certificates are required and can be obtained upon receiving an offer of employment.
You will be guaranteed a monthly equivalent of 2 scheduled shifts per week until May 31, 2024 and during peak season between June 1, 2024 and September 2, 2024, 15 shifts per month subject to meeting minimum availability requirements.
