    Business Solutions Manager (Integration)
    Information Technology

    You are a customer-focused team player, with strong communication skills, responsible for consultation to senior management and business owners, to ensure that project/operational solutions meet the needs of the business. You partner with the business and technology groups to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into effective system and technical requirements/specifications. In addition you identify unmet business needs and coach business partners on leading their own technology initiatives.

     

    You excel at building relationships with both internal customers and external vendors, to ensure teamwork and synergy in delivery of services to BC Ferries business units. You monitor, evaluate, and enhance business processes and solutions, and provide direction and consultation to affected stakeholders and departments. You liaise between the business and technical teams and facilitate workshops with multiple stakeholder groups.

     

    You have a Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Business or an IT related discipline. Your skillsets include:

    • Understanding of Enterprise Application Integration and Service Oriented Architecture concepts and principles (understanding of TOGAF would be an asset);
    • Strong logical data modeling and data definition documentation and experience with data and process modeling tools;
    • Knowledge and experience of agile development methodologies and process modeling techniques using BPMN notation would be an asset
