PROJECT COORDINATOR, TERMINAL CONSTRUCTION
A team player and detail-oriented professional, you perform a comprehensive range of project and contract coordination activities in support of the Terminal Construction Project Managers during the planning and construction of terminal and marine capital projects. You will assist the Project Managers in the procurement of services and materials, tender and contract preparation, contractor prequalification, tender assessments, and site supervision. Other duties include using Maximo applications, maintaining document control, and developing project schedules and monthly progress reports that highlight key issues of scope, schedule and budget variances. With guidance from Project Managers, you will also take responsibility for all processes of planning, contracting and executing smaller projects, as required.
You are energetic with a positive attitude, displaying strong time management skills and judgement in all aspects of your work. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build and maintain relationships with the project team, department, contractors and other stakeholders. You also bring a demonstrated willingness and ability to undertake additional training and duties required for the position.
You bring a diploma or degree in civil or mechanical engineering with the ability to be registered with ASTTBC or APEGBC, respectively. You also possess two or more years of related engineering or construction industry experience. You have excellent organizational and time management skills, along with demonstrated technical ability and thorough understanding of applicable building codes, standards and regulations, and planning, design and construction methods relative to terminal construction. You have a valid BC driver’s license and will be flexible, willing to travel throughout coastal British Columbia.
